Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Charvio collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, create an account, upload chart screenshots, purchase a plan, or use our AI analysis features.

Charvio is designed for chart analysis. Do not upload screenshots containing passwords, account numbers, private messages, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information that is not needed for chart analysis.

2. Information we collect

Account information. We may collect your name, email address, authentication identifiers, profile details, session information, and account settings.

Chart and analysis information. We collect chart screenshots you upload, selected trader mode, detected asset symbol, timeframe, prompts, AI-generated outputs, saved analyses, and related metadata.

Billing information. We collect plan type, subscription status, Stripe customer or checkout identifiers, invoices or payment status metadata, and usage counts. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Technical information. We may collect log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, error logs, security events, cookie/session identifiers, and usage activity.

Communications. If you contact us, we may collect your message, contact details, and support history.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure Charvio, authenticate users, process subscriptions, generate AI analysis, save and display analysis history, show billing status, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, monitor reliability, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations.

4. AI providers and chart processing

To generate analysis, Charvio may send chart screenshots, prompts, detected chart context, selected trader mode, and related metadata to AI providers through services such as OpenRouter. Those AI providers process the content to return AI-generated analysis.

When live news or web context is enabled, Charvio may use web search or public website preview data to find recent headlines and show source-backed news cards. Public source websites may receive ordinary request metadata when their pages or preview images are fetched.

5. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Charvio, including authentication providers, Stripe for billing, AI providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, logging and security tools, email or support services, and public news preview sources.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, in connection with a merger or sale, or with your consent.

6. Selling or sharing personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in California privacy law. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any required opt-out controls.

7. Cookies and sessions

Charvio uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, product functionality, and preferences. The app is designed to use server-managed sessions rather than exposing authentication tokens to browser storage.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Charvio, maintain your account, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms. Saved analyses may remain available until deleted by you or removed through account deletion workflows, subject to backups and legal retention requirements.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

10. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of personal information. You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing and to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. Children

Charvio is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Charvio, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

12. International users

If you use Charvio from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date on this page or providing an in-product notice.

14. Contact

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
